MABTEC offers a variety of training classes that are related to the field of building science, performance testing procedures and continuing education. These classes range from duct testing training and general building science to HERS Rater Certification Training. MABTEC is an Accredited HERS Training Provider and NATE Training Provider.
HERS Rater Training Class
This class prepares individuals in becoming certified HERS Raters. Class instruction includes how to evaluate the energy performance
and comfort of a house through comprehensive, whole house diagnostic procedures. The class is a 5-day training program, meeting the national
standard for training and certification for energy raters as adopted by RESNET. The online HERS Rater exam is given on the last day of
class, and is included in the registration fee.
This class is approved for 32 NATE CEHs. NATE Course #: 5503-0001.

ENERGY STAR Ver 3 Rater Training for certification
This class will prepare the rater as to the requirements of the program and be able to consult with builders about these
requirements. Class instructions includes requirements, procedures and how to conduct the inspections. This is a 2-day class.

ACCA Manual-J, D and Software
This is a series of 3 separate one day courses for Manual-J, Manual-D and the Manual-J software. These nationally recognized standards
are broken down in a way that's easy to understand and apply.

Duct Testing Training
This class teaches the concepts and procedures necessary to conduct duct work leakage testing. Class instruction includes an overview
of why a duct test is needed and how leaking duct work interacts with a home. Students will have hands-on instruction on how to setup and
operate the duct testing equipment in our duct testing lab. The class is 1/2 day with an exam at the end of the class. Upon successful
completion of the class, a certificate will be issued.

upon request, based on our current schedule.

Indoor airPLUS Training Class for Raters and Builders
This class will prepare the rater as to the requirements of the program and be able to consult with builders about these requirements.
Class instructions includes requirements, procedures and how to conduct the inspections. This class is open to
builders and certified raters. This is a half-day class.

Sessions are designed to give the individual an overview or information on the session subject matter. These sessions are informational
only and there are no accredited program CEU's, unless otherwise noted.
